Commercial solar installation project

A 22 kWp self-consumption installation to sustainably reduce energy costs.

Our teams delivered a 22 kWp self-consumption photovoltaic installation for a commercial client. The goal: produce on site part of the electricity used during opening hours and cut the energy bill for good.

Why solar suits retail

A shop uses most of its power during the day: lighting, air conditioning, refrigerated displays, tills and IT. That is exactly when the panels produce. Solar electricity is therefore used directly on site, without batteries, which makes self-consumption a particularly good fit for this kind of site.

Project steps

  • Bill analysis to understand the site's consumption profile.
  • Technical visit: roof area, orientation, shading and condition of the structure.
  • Sizing: 22 kWp, matched to daytime consumption to avoid producing energy that goes unused.
  • Installation of the mounting structures, panels and grid-tied inverter, with AC and DC protection.
  • Commissioning and monitoring: the client follows production from an app.

What the client gains

Every kilowatt-hour produced and used on site is one that is no longer bought from the grid. The bill drops from commissioning onwards, and the site gains visibility on its energy costs for years to come. Production monitoring also makes it quick to spot a dirty panel or a fault.
